SMA UK (search marketing association) elections open.

Tuesday, 19 April 2005

Smauk120x60Just received my invite to nominate in the SMA-UK elections, and its good to see a pretty decent representation from the leading companies in the sector in the UK, on the nominee list.

Having been part of the working group it seems like we've come a long way in a short space of time.  Getting any kind of organisation up and running takes a lot of effort, its not easy, the goals aren't always clear and the criticism doesn't help, but what has been great is how competing businesses have managed to set our differences aside for the greater good. Why? becuase we all have a vested interest in the success of the search marketing industry in the UK, both paid and organic.

In true SMA-UK style the vote is being run by the electoral reform society,  to maintain integrity and transparancy. To all those nominated, many whom I know personally I wish you the best of luck.

If you aren't a member yet I suggest you hop on over to the SMA-UK website and sign up ASAP.  You've got until the 2nd of May to have a say in who's on the committee and represents our industry!
