Ask Jeeves: Pay Per Click

Tuesday, 02 August 2005

Out with Premier listings & in with PPC

Ask Jeeves have announced that sponsored listings have replaced their premier listings product. Open-auction, the pay per click system is currently only available on Askjeeves.com for US search. The relationship between Ask and Google is retained and as with the premier product, new sponsored listings are placed above Google Adwords listings - which continue to be distributed. Existing customers can login & use the product now whilst general availability is scheduled for August 15th. This new automated approach allows advertising without having to go through an Ask Jeeves sales representative - allowing better access for smaller advertisers.

With no specific UK relaese date Ask Jeeves have stated that UK sponsored listings will be available within the next 12 months.
