Zuckerbergs First Law and Second Law.

Tuesday, 11 November 2008

You'll hear Zuckerbergs Law quoted a lot more in the future, so here are the laws. I heard them parodied least once at the Web 2.0 Summit. From Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook Founder):

Zuckerbergs First Law
"Once every hundred years media changes."

Zuckerbergs Second Law
"Every year, people are sharing twice as much information as the previous year"

Personally I'd say the first law sounds wrong; the rate of change of the media can't be that consistent and if anything change is happening faster:
stone tablets.….scrolls….printing press…radio..tv.internet

The second law is probably accurate though, and Mark should be the person who has the stats to prove it.
