Google ‘lapbox’ cracks the sub $100 laptop problem

Tuesday, 10 January 2006

Talk of the Google ‘Cube’  died quietly away at CES last week, yet I was shocked to see that my  daughters nursery are part of some secret Google R&D team. Let me introduce the Google ‘lapbox’ that greeted me when I collected her this afternoon.

Could a toddler have cracked the sub $100 laptop problem?

Did you get a dog blanket or the super sweet mouse/USB/light sabre kit thingy? (I'm not a fan of emoticons, but I must use one here: ^_^)

Teddie

Yeah Jackie we have the whole collection
- Dog blanket
- Picture holders
- Radio / ambient light thingy
- Another ambient light thing by Mathmos
- Mouse/USB/light sabre in a mini toolkit (this got stolen by my 3 year old as the mouse is a bit small for me, and evidently she thought the box made a decent laptop)

Although I have to say Yahoo!/Overtures Santa gave the best presents this year :-)

Kids with Google paraphrenalia - can I make a quiet plea for photos? (Also, actual puppies snuggled in the dog blankets would make a fine addition to any Flickr gallery!)
