Google Analytics - no more signups

Sunday, 20 November 2005

In what seems to be a bit of a trend Google has yet again stopped signups for a major product just a short time after launch.

Google Analytics has experienced extremely strong demand, and as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity.

Whether or not you chose to use the Urchin based tracking system, not delivering well on their increased product portfolio doesn't bode well for the leading engines ability to diversify. In terms of growth it is at precisely this stage of development when things have gone wrong for their predecessors.
