The Adobe / Macromedia SEO challenge...

For those of you interested in things SEO related (which is hopefully you if you're reading this site...), this week saw the launch of one of the most significant SEO related corporate activities for some time - the merger of the Adobe and Macromedia websites (rather grandiosely titled as the Day Next Project by Adobe).

Why so interesting ?  Well the two "old" sites were two of the largest web entities anywhere (apparently over 120 million indexed pages according to Google) and were also each PR9 / PR 10 sites.  More details at http://weblogs.macromedia.com/dhatch/archives/2006/05/i_wanted_to_tal.cfm or keep an eye on www.adobe.com
