Big Daddy - Google data centre upgrade

Monday, 09 January 2006

Without getting into the nuts and bolts of serious enterprise SEO the handling of redirects (302 page jacking) and canonicalization (http://www.website or http://website) has been something of an issue for most search engines, so it is good to see that Google are taking it seriously and rolling out a data centre upgrade nicknamed 'Big Daddy' to address this.

Look out for an improvement in the results on a SERP near you in the next few weeks.
