How to stop animated gifs.

Monday, 22 October 2007

Here is my top tip for today. When I have to study the contents of a page, moving images can be really distracting.

Stop animated gifs and pngs by pressing the escape (ESC) button. This works both in IE and Firefox.

Extra tip:

http://flashblock.mozdev.org/ will stop flash movies from downloading. It replaces them with a little play button, which you can use to play the movie.

Now I can concentrate properly :-)

It looks like anybody can be hit with the Google slap and bouncing back isn't always easy.
