Internet-evangelist

This morning we were treated to a session with Vint Cerf - Father of the Internet and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google.

Vint Cerf is legendary, he invented TCP/IP the network protocol that makes the internet work...to put that in context, without him probably none of us including Google would be in business. While Tim Berners-Lee is responsible for the 'Web', Vint is the 'Internet' the foundation on which it all relies. He was very smart and entertaining and I am personally jealous of his home automation - wine seller monitoring system. He talked about the history and potential futures for the internet, some of the issues the web currently faces both technological and legal, and during the Q&A things that can be done to improve it in the future and make it more resilient.
