Facebook director confirms he'll do his upmost to make Cornwall a network

I live and work in a county in England called Cornwall. It's the one on the far lower left. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=cornwall
Some people affectionately like to refer to it as 'Kernofornia', because the climate is a bit milder than the rest of the UK and in the summer we spend a lot of time at the beach, and we also have a big surf scene, we also have lots of beautiful sub tropical Gardens. Kernow is the Cornish name for Cornwall. If you've never been, it's worth visiting especially in the summer.
So what's the big deal with Cornwall and Facebook? Well the almighty Facebook does have a bit of bug, whereby really well known places Towns and Counties don't and seemingly can't get listed as networks, for instance Facebook have only just made Liverpool a network.
Look at the screenshot above, no 'Cornwall, UK' even though it is a major county :-(
So Cornwall isn't on Facebook's radar but strangely North Devon, East Devon, Mid Devon and West Devon have all been brought into the fold. And it's not just me that finds this a little odd, my fellow Cornish folk felt strongly enough that 11,900+ members joined a Facebook group called the "Make Cornwall a network".
But it didn't get anywhere :-(
Yesterday I managed to catch up with Blake Chandlee (Commercial Director) of Facebook UK, who gave an excellent presentation about Facebook at TFM&A. He agrees Cornwall should be a valid network. Blake says he promises to do his up-most to make Cornwall a network. That's me on the left and Blake on the right...and his PR guy in the background.
He says he can't guarantee it will become a network and we're not the only place with this problem, hence Liverpool, but now he knows about it when he's back in the office he'll forward it to the engineering team in the US to try and sort out.
C'mon Blake do your best, 11,900 people is surely a social force for change :-)
