Google Engineering Educational Videos 'engedu'

Thursday, 04 January 2007

If you search for 'engedu' on Google video you get Googles internal educational videos. Not sure how long these have been live but they really got me through a sick day in bed last week, I picked them up via a Peter Norvig post on the Google Research BlogWinning the DARPA Grand Challenge is as funny and interesting as any docufilm I've seen in the last 12 months - watch out for Ghostrider.

The videos are on average 45 minutes to 1 hr long and speakers are mostly excellent as would be expected from anyone invited or allowed to speak at Google, although obviously they err towards the 'nerdy' end of the spectrum. Topics cover everything from environmental and historical, to the human genome and of course all things programming and Google related, many providing an indepth look into the workings of Googles systems.

With around 236 to get through that's @ 177 hrs worth of quality viewing.
