UK search spend increases 79%

According to the IAB UK online ad spending increased £1,366.4 million (£1.4 billion) and now accounts for 7.8% of total advertising market share.

Search recorded the biggest increase - 79% or £338.7 million - of all online advertising formats as advertisers in 2005 recognised the benefits of search and used its many tools for both direct response and brand-building initiatives.

I wonder how much of this is from 'mesothelioma attorneys'?!?

Probably a lot. When I am back in the office tomorrow I'll have access to one of our nifty little tools that can calculate it.

We calculated it against the search figure and reckon it's only around 0.1%
