Local search to grow into $1 BILLION market

Monday, 13 March 2006

A report from Borrell Associates Inc says local search will grow into a $1Billion market by the end of 2006, which is two years ahead of the 2008 target estimated by Overture (now Yahoo! Search Marketing) the other year.

The report tracks local search spending through 2010, examines key categories where local advertisers are spending the most, and offers recommendations for local media companies wanting to ride the bandwagon. By 2010 they expect local search to rival Banners & Listings.
